five on friday

1.  We were sad to see my mom leave last week.  She was here for the entire month of August, and we enjoyed every second of it.  There's nothing like seeing faces from home!  We are already counting the days until she comes back.

waiting patiently.

2.  While my mom was here, I started thinking about getting some new furniture for our guest room.  So we called up some carpenters we know.  Using some very broken Hindi, some pictures from the internet, and some sketches I made, we "think" they are on the right track.  I'll let you know how close they come when I see the finished product!

3.  Guess who made the Bhopal newspaper AGAIN?  We attended a concert last weekend and somehow the camera found me.  Seriously, if I'm going to be in the newspaper, I've got to work on my "look."  I'm not sure what to say about this shot.  Am I sad, confused, concentrating.... or do I just look weird?  I'm going with the latter.  You decide.

4.  Last week, as Max was finishing some chips, I asked him to be sure to clip them closed.  He successfully tackled the "clip" part.  Now we just have to work on the "closed" part.

5.  I recently read "To Kill a Mockingbird," in my attempt to catch up on classical literature.  (Thanks for the recommendation, Marla!) But it's been a few weeks since I've picked up a book.  India has started showing Gray's Anatomy.  I'm HOOKED!  How did I miss this show in America?
